about

Digital Renaissance is a collection of Renaissance madrigals and liturgical pieces re-imagined into contemporary sound culture.

Combining historical and contemporary musical tropes including improvisation and electronic manipulation, this project brings new perspective into an historical music.

All music is played solely on the clarinet with the use of electro-acoustic manipulation.

This project was completed in 2015 and has now been re-mastered and re-released for further listenings.

The music on this album features works by composers Guillaume Dufay (1397-1474), Hippolito Sabino (1550-1593), Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina (1525-159) and George Worthy.
